Full Details
Traumerei’s V- Berth serves as her Master Stateroom. Comfortably sleeping 2 with ample storage in
her full length shelves, closets and cabinets. Storage capacity in the v-berth is symmetrical on the port
and starboard sides. The private head has two doors to access from the saloon or v-berth. The head
has a composting toilet that can slide under the sink cabinet to allow more room to take a shower.
Opposite the aft wall of the head on the port side is a "Cubic Mini Grizzly" wood stove. The saloon has
accommodations to sleep two quests, on the port side, outboard of the dining table, is a seating
area than folds down into a bunk. Along the entire starboard side of the saloon is shelving and cabinets
for storage, with one bench seat that pulls out into a bunk. The after end of the cabin is the galley and
Traumerei's nav table/ office area. The port side pipe berth has been converted into another storage
area. The saloon and galley is heated by an "Espar" diesel fueled heater.
In the galley there is a single basin sink large enough to wash pots and pans with pressurized hot water.
(Pump replaced 2018.) Storage is ample with cupboards all the way around. There is a "shipmate"
stainless steel 2 burner propane stove with oven. The refrigerator is a seafrost unit that
can be powered by the engine or ships batteries.

· Borg-Warner V-Drive transmission professionally rebuilt in 2018.
· Most (if not all) hoses have been replaced.
· Belts get replaced at the first sign of wear.
· Balmar alternator rebuilt 2023
· Balmar voltage regulator upgraded 2023
· Sea strainer housing replaced
· Propeller shaft, cutlass bearing and dripless shaft seal replaced in 2020.
· Center board fully serviced in 2017, This included a new pivot pin and new pendant cable

Later competing in offshore races on the great lakes while crewing aboard the Open 60 Trimaran and Trans Superior record holder (28hrs 38 mn) “Earth Voyager”. After touring extensively as a roadie for over 25 years and not being able to resist the pull of the great Gitche Gumee he settled in Duluth. John started at Barker’s Island Marina in 2007 working in the service department, eventually becoming the full time resident Yacht Broker. In his free time, he is the Primary Race Officer (PRO) for the Duluth Yacht Club.
