Description
Built upon 20+ years of boating and chartering, this power boat synergizes all the ideal characteristics a sea going vessel should have.
A Dream Come True
Eric Dansan, originally from Arcachon (France), has always had a deep connection with the sea. At the age of 14, he promised himself that he would one day build his own boat, never imagining that this dream would take him far beyond his expectations. After studying marine mechanics, working as a jet ski instructor, and spending years in automotive repair, he moved to Saint-Martin. There, he found a place ripe for innovation, where anything seemed possible for those who knew what they wanted. With over 20 years of experience and as the owner of numerous boats, Éric Dansan poured all his expertise and passion into creating something unique: a boat specifically designed to meet the needs and challenges of the Caribbean.
An Ambitious and Visionary Project
By studying in detail the best features of existing boats and working with a specialized engineer, Éric refined every aspect of his project, overcoming numerous technical and financial challenges. After months of testing and adjustments, the first prototype was born: a 13-meter-long boat, handcrafted entirely in Saint-Martin. The success was immediate.
Impulse Boat: 100% Locally Designed
The Impulse Boat stands out for its robust hull, customizable features, and, most notably, its low air draft of just 2.50 meters, allowing it to navigate freely under the lagoon bridges without restrictions. This simple yet crucial innovation eliminates the long waits tied to bridge opening schedules. Equipped with three outboard motors and a hydraulic platform, the Impulse Boat combines performance, comfort, and practicality, making it perfectly suited to the needs of local sailors.
A Boat Designed for Ideal Navigation
With a length of 13.10 meters and the ability to reach speeds of up to 48 knots thanks to its three 350-horsepower engines, the Impulse Boat strikes the perfect balance between power and maneuverability. The deck plan, inspired by both American and Mediterranean designs, offers an optimized living space: a practical kitchen, a convertible lounge area that transforms into a sun deck, and a lower deck featuring a double berth and a bathroom. This 10-ton boat is built to adapt to local conditions while meeting the most demanding expectations of boat owners.

Raised partly in suburban surroundings and later in rural farmland, Chris discovered his passion for sailing in his early twenties, introduced to it by a close friend. Since that pivotal moment, he has amassed over 24,000NM of nautical miles, primarily offshore, and obtained certifications from esteemed organizations like CYA, RYA, and IMQ. Chris spent years as a partner in a sailboat charter company, overseeing technical operations and engaging in customer service and sales.
In 2009, he undertook a journey, extensively refitting a Kaufman aluminum sailboat, circumnavigating the North Atlantic with solo offshore crossing propelled by trade winds. Today, Chris calls Sint Maarten home, residing aboard his vessel.
Alongside his maritime pursuits, Chris has pursued a career as a custom software engineer. Fluent in French and English, he aims to enhance his language skills with Spanish.
As a yacht broker, Chris is committed to understanding his client's needs and providing valuable, solution-oriented service. His dedication stems from a genuine passion for connecting individuals with their maritime dreams—a true matchmaker in the world of yachting.
