The Freedom 38 is known for her sailing performance. The free standing, carbon fiber mast with fully battened mainsail with Tides Marine Strong track and self-tending, Camberspar jib deliver a simple, powerful, and easily controlled sail plan for easy short-handed performance cruising. All sail controls are lead through updated rope clutch stoppers to the cockpit and may be controlled by the two Barient # 27 two speed, self-tailing winches. The traveler is Harken and traveler control lines are fed through the dodger to the cockpit. The deck is white with gray non-skid.
- Triple lifelines (34") provides a measure of security that can't be appreciated until you experience it. They should be required on every offshore cruising boat. 2020.
