Description
The owner has requested to describe how he feels about his boat.
I LOVE my BOAT. I….mean….I REALLY LOVE my BOAT. I Love it when I pull up to a dock standing at midship along the full length stainless steel railings, with my Yacht Controller, sliding the boat into the slip sideways using the bow and stern thrusters, while onlookers ask “Who’s driving the boat?”. I LOVE the power of the two American made Caterpillar 3406 diesels pushing the Canadian made 56’ of luxury. I LOVE it when my family and friends sit on the two newly updated sun platforms while I sit over watching from the FULL length, air conditions and enclosed Fly Bridge by the upper helm. I LOVE when my 92 year old Mom could easily Walk up the Staircase to the bridge along with my 50 pound dog. And I must mention, he sheds. So, the Salon wood floors make vacuuming a breeze. Even when he sits watching the 42” flat panel TV on the newly remade salon couches, next to the wine cooler fridge. Speaking of “fridges”, we replaced the “door” galley fridge with a much more functional dual drawer slide out unit. Oh, and the Dog, Teddy, loves the inflatable dinghy. Especially when the swim platform hydraulicly goes
up and down launching into the water. Watch out DUCKS!
My family wanted a house at the Shore. SO, I suggested a 3 Bedroom, two Bathroom Yacht, NOT near the beach but ON the water. It became our Jersey Shore house and our Florida winter home. We loved it. But…the wife found a Florida penthouse condo at a price we couldn’t resist, and then……a Jersey shore home with a 5’ deep, 50’ long dock in our back yard on a bay with very shallow water. Damn…we can’t fit the boat between our neighbors and there is no where to go with a 39” draft. SO… I have to find a new home for my “baby” and replaced it with a 25’ Scarab dual console on our dock.
Yes, I spent a lot of bucks getting the 2005 baby up to our standards. New everything! 2000 hour service just done. Waxing, engine room and vessel cleaned. AC, Heat, radios, downward and forward looking Garmin sonars, GPS, Radar, Satellite system, stereo, 3 new flat TV’s, fridge, wine cooler, horns, compressor, spare props, turbos, windows resealed, new windless, tools, spare parts, filters, and so on.
This is turn key to fun in the sun! She made 5 trips back and forth to Florida…piece of cake. You also get all my repair people, including the Neptunus #1 guy in the US and my connection to the factory and people who built my boat.
There is “Price” and “value”. The selling price starts at $579,000. The “value” compares to anything new at $2+ million! The difference pays for a lot of fuel, dockage and traveling. Think about it. This is a steal. My Baby needs a GOOD and NEW HOME! If you’re not gonna take care of her, don’t apply!
East Marine Tender and Tohatsu 20hp outboard is included in sale.
Standing out among yachts of similar size, this 56' Neptunus "Flybridge Model" offers an impressive array of features, including three generously appointed staterooms, two heads, and versatile dining options at both the lower helm and flybridge. I grew up in Monmouth County, NJ, and have spent over 40 years on the water. After graduating from Syracuse University, I spent 25 years on Wall Street, managing a hedge fund, raising capital, and assisting companies in going public. My passion for boating started in 1983 when a family friend took us out on their boat, and from that moment, I was hooked. My parents soon bought our first boat, a Sea Ray 26 Sundancer, and over the years, we upgraded to a 55′ sportfish. In the early 2000s, I began buying my own boats, ranging from a 13′ tender to a Hatteras 60 Convertible.
In 2011, I decided to turn my love for boating into a career, helping clients purchase their first or next boat. With my personal experience as a boat owner, I understand the importance of both the sale and the service that follows. My favorite part of each season is hearing about the memories my clients create on their boats. I currently live in Ocean, NJ, with my wife, son, daughter, and our Bernese Mountain Doodle, Bailey. When I’m not at home, you can usually find me Captaining a 70′ Sportfish or assisting clients on the water.
