Manufacturers Description
From Powerboat Guide:
The sleek Azimut 43S is notable, not just for her leading-edge styling or acclaimed interior, but also because she was the first Azimut model to incorporate pod drives as standard equipment. That alone gave her a performance and economy edge on most sport yachts of her day—an advantage that proved short-lived, however, as pod drives have rapidly made their presence known in more (and larger) yachts. Azimuts have always been noted for their posh designer-style interiors, so it’s no surprise that the accommodations aboard the 43S are both lavish and tasteful.
Tiered windows and a retractable sunroof bathe the salon in natural lighting, and cherry cabinets and rich fabrics are found throughout the interior. Both staterooms are roomy and comfortable (note the hullside windows in the guest cabin), and both heads have circular stall showers. Note the large opening port over the galley counter. The beautiful helm station is a work of art. Access to the engine room is through a hatch in the cockpit bench. A hydraulic swim platform, anchor chain washdown, foredeck sun pad, and teak cockpit sole are standard. Volvo 435hp IPS diesels with joystick controls cruise the Azimut 43S at 28–30 knots.

From the manufacturer:
The smallest craft in the S line, Azimut's Open range, together with the 62S, will be presented at this year's Genoa International Boat Show. The Turin based boat yard has achieved an exceptional goal: a new range, with an impressive 4 models from 43 feet to 88 feet, in exactly three years. Another one-of-a-kind Open design by Stefano Righini. A 43' Open with distinctly separated living and sleeping areas that with a perfect balance of openings and windows perfectly combines the commodity and elegance of a Fly with the sporty freshness of an Open.
The engine room may be accessed from a trap door under the settee in the cockpit or from another trap door in the floor of the saloon. The air-conditioning system and the generator are in the auxiliary area. Ventilation is guaranteed by two fans and an extractor, the batteries are high current and rapid charging and the exhausts are below the waterline. The 43S is the first Azimut to be fitted with the new IPS 500 system, developed by Volvo. This new system guarantees exceptional manoeuvrability and is extraordinarily quiet during cruising. The efficiency of these 370hp engines guarantees the same performance obtained from a traditional 450hp engine, maximum speed 33 knots and a cruising speed of 29 knots, while consuming far less fuel. The two 370hp Volvo's are eco-compatible and guarantee a significant reduction in exhaust fumes to well within gas emissions IMO regulations.
The internal decor, designed by Carlo Galeazzi, in collaboration with Azimut's Styling Department, is modern and refined. The exceptional luminosity granted by the large windows is enhanced by light shades of high-tech fabrics and by the interwoven fibres used on the door panelling of the cabins and wardrobes while being contrasted by the dark tones of weng used for the floors and furnishings.

David likes to joke that he was born on the water and was sailing before he could walk. There may be some proof to that as his father and business partner Lee has circulated photos around the office of David single handing the families “sailing dinghy” at a very young age.
As a youngster, he became a successful sailor at the Thames Yacht Club (TYC) in New London, Ct. As a member of the TYC’s competitive sailing team racing Lasers, Blue Jays & 420’s. Through the years, he’s competed in countless one-design regattas, Block Island Race week, Off Soundings and even competed in 420 Nationals, where some of the most feverish competition was always expected.
During the “summer season” David could always be found somewhere on the water running boats all over New England, fishing, sailing, diving. At the young age of 15, David and his father Lee sailed the families J30 from New England to the West Coast of Florida where they set roots.
After spending the better part of two decades in various Executive Management & Sales positions in the mortgage lending/servicing and Default Asset Management space. Most recently serving as VP of Operations/Vendor Management for a National Default Asset Management Company and previously serving as the C.O.O. of a national asset disposition firm managing R.E.O. Properties for the nation’s largest financial institutions. David decided it was time to return to his passion of the marine industry.
With nearly 10 years of brokerage experience with some of Florida’s premier Yacht Sales Organizations, where he created the marketing and on-site display at Marina Jack, serving as the Edgewater Boats Product Line Manager. David also assisted with the Vicem & Marquis lines. David & Lee decided it was time to build their own brand and formed Professional Yacht Sales International in September of 2018.
David’s vast knowledge of both power and sailboaters’ needs gives our clients a comfort level that their best interests and Professional Representation are his primary concern. Regardless of which side of the transaction (buyer/seller/both) he is on, David brings his lifetime of experiences to every client relationship always putting the client’s needs first.
When he is not working (which is rarely) he is an avid boater, scuba diver & fisherman competing in local fishing tournaments.
