I come from a family deeply rooted in the coastal area of south Texas. After chasing billfish as a boat captain from Kona, Hawaii to Bermuda, I have returned home to live in Victoria, Texas. I do, however, still chase billfish as a captain of a 66’ Viking sportfish. I split time between the boat's location in Costa Rica and Texas.
I began a professional career in boating at the age of 19, when I went to work as a mate on a sportfishing yacht owned by a well-respected and influential family who helped pioneer the sport in Texas and around the world. After a few short years, I became a captain for that family at the age of 24. We quickly bought, operated, and sold several boats which helped me become familiar with a variety of yachts such as Viking, Merritt’s, and Rybovich.
I have won several fishing tournaments and had a successful career running yachts for some prime fishing operations all over the world. Thirteen years at the helm of the worlds' finest fishing machines, has helped me gain valuable experience and insight that I intend to pass along to my customers. As well as the same honesty, hard work, and integrity that has served me thus far. I am very happy to join the Galati team and bring the best product to our customers.
