Description
The Far Harbour 39 isn't your garden variety cruising boat. It was designed by Bob Perry to fit in a standard 40' shipping container - hull, keel, mast and all - such that it can be economically shipped to any port in the world without the owners having to cross oceans to get there. In addition to these design constraints, the boat had to perform well under sail and provide comfortable accommodations for a cruising couple. Challenging design specifications that were executed perfectly.
Inbox is Hull No. 1 and she has seen many corners of the world, yet with a longest passage of only 107 NM. She is in good condition, well equipped and ready for more adventures.
Inbox was donated to a Maine Sailing Charity and is available for a 3-year term charter arrangement with an option to purchase. Please call for details.

FULL DESCRIPTION
Accommodations
The interior layout is well designed and can best be described as functionally beautiful. It is attractive, bright, with white bulkheads, varnished teak trim, and a teak-and-holly sole that combine to create a homey feel. The large fixed ports along with several hatches and opening ports provide plenty of light and ventilation, and there is surprisingly abundant storage throughout.
The forward cabin has a comfortable V-berth and hanging lockers port and starboard. Just aft on the port side is the head and shower. In the saloon are two settees and a beautifully varnished off-center fold-up table for four. Ports on either side in the hull offer water views from the settees. The galley’s just aft, and it’s as workable and attractive as the rest of the interior, with granite counter tops, a gimbaled three-burner stove to port and a refrigerator/freezer to starboard. The helm station is up a step on the port side. The engine faces aft and is attached to a saildrive; it has good, all-around access through the removable offset companionway steps, a hatch from the port seat locker, and a hatch from the lazarette.
