Hello, my name is Jerry Wheeler. I am pleased to be joining the American Yachts Sales Team. I have been a marine industry professional since 1991. During these years I have managed a full-service boat yard, owned a very successful mobile repair business, been a marine surveyor (SAMS AMS) and for the past 11 years a yacht broker. My personal boating history started at 11 years old on the Chesapeake Bay. I learned from an early age to maintain and operate a boat and how to navigate. Mostly in small cabin boats in the beginning and moved into sail in my early twenties. More recently I have enjoyed the attributes of motor yachts. We have sailed many 10’s of thousands of miles and seen many wonderful places including the Caribbean and the Great Loop. I am proud to have earned the USCGAUX Auxop pin and being a Seven Seas Cruising Association Commodore. We have lived aboard for 16 years in many different boats and locations. All those experiences combined with my love for boats and boating, and my “service is everything” and “knowledge is power” mindset I am a great asset to assist in the purchase or sale of a vessel. Accurate information, integrity and never high pressure is my mantra. I look forward to serving you.
