Description
With an overall length of 49 feet 11 inches, a 14 feet 5 inch beam and 6 feet 9 inches of salon headroom, the Hunter 49 is a BIG boat with impressive interior volume. Driving the Hunter 49's hull is a specially engineered sail plan that achieves maximum efficiency while maintaining the Hunter trademark of single-handed sail-ability, which is a great feature for a boat of this size. Some components aboard this Hunter 49 include Hunter's famous mainsheet traveler arch, backstayless B & R rig and a bow thruster.
The Hunter 49 accelerates quickly under sail. Her powerful, 9/10 fractional, deck-stepped, two-spreader mast stands 63 feet, 4 inches off the water. She sports in-mast furling, an inner forestay rigged with a self-tacking, furling staysail. Complemented by an overlapping genoa furling on the headstay, this elegant double headed rig provides balance and power.
Fela is a one owner well maintained passage-maker. New standing and running rigging, new Lithium batteries and updated electronics are just some of the recent updated features. Considered by many to be the best passage-maker in her class, this Hunter 49 has a master cabin with a walk-around double bunk and an upgraded mattress, an en suite head to starboard, a shower compartment to port and large hanging lockers. The main salon has a dining area to starboard with seating for 8 and settee to port. Aft of the settee is the nav station, which has a leather bucket seat and custom computer setup. The spacious and well appointed galley is to starboard and two identical guest cabins are aft of the companionway.
