The Hinckley DS42 was designed by Bruce King to carry six to eight adults in comfort and safety for robust day sailing in a wide variety of sea conditions. An innovative hydraulically operated lifting keel offers a minimum draft of 4’0” making the DS42 accessible to lesser traveled shallow anchorages. With her hydraulically operated winches, the DS42 offers the single-handed sailor the opportunity to command a modern powerful sloop with ease. Typical Hinckley construction includes a carbon fiber spar and Dual-Guard construction in the hull that combines Kevlar and carbon fiber for maximum strength and stiffness. 

"Luna" is outfitted with Raymarine and B&G electronics. A single Yanmar 3YM30 diesel saildrive engine. On deck she has a classic look with varnished teak trim and teak decks. Below deck she is outfitted for a comfortable weekend cruise. Spacious cabin forward, full head and galley.
