Description
Description
We are pleased to present this 1983 Prout Snowgoose 37 with a three cabin layout (owners' version). These are clearly ocean going sailing catamarans. They have recorded over 100 circumnavigations. They were designed for the north sea conditions, and are quite strong.
- "Geru" had a major refit ending in 2019, and continuously updated since. If you are looking for: an ocean going boat that is beachable
- a sailboat with a low enough air draft that allows you to take her across Lake Ocachobee
- a draft shallow enough that you can always find a place to drop the hook in a crowded anchorage
- the stability of a catamaran, but still fit in a standard marina slip
- remarkable storage space in a boat under 40 feet
This boat checks all those boxes!

Broker's Comments
The Prout Snowgoose 37 is a very comfortable catamaran, and handles a seaway well. This is a very sturdy yacht that has been customized to make the storage more efficient for a live aboard.
It is surprising how effective the bow thruster is in a catamaran. The solid foredeck rather than a trampoline is a safe, and dry feature. Plus, she can fit in most slips that were designed for monohulls. Geru is a well made yacht that can safely take you over the horizon. Call 252-725-1506 to schedule a viewing.
