Current and Previous Owner's Comments
This is a boat you want if you are looking for safety, elegance, and an easy boat to sail.
You could not buy the average CD25D and get it into this condition for less than twice this asking price. Not
for the everyday sailor, but someone who wants a unique classic design with modern amenities.
Over $70,000 spent at dealer costs on the restoration.
One of a kind. A fully restored Cape Dory 25D done without regard to a budget. Fully awlgripped from mast to hull. All lifelines, bow rails removed, and new non-skid in gray applied. NOTHING OVERLOOKED.
Over $18K in Awlgrip alone. LED nav and spreader lights, 12” chart plotter, Marine A/C, just to name a few things.
A first-place winner in the Lakewood Yacht Club's Keels and Wheels Classic Boat and Car show in 2011.
Truly ONE OF A KIND. If you think you want an Alerion 28 or another day sailor, take a look at this boat because it has real accommodations and 5’-11” headroom. With the marine a/c she can be a great weekender. This is a solid boat from
the reputable Cape Dory Shipyard. Scarce inboard Diesel model (not to be confused with the 25 outboard that has NO
headroom). Very rare, only 189 were built.
Basic Replacement on this boat without the upgrades, gear, and equipment would be well over $120K. (This was written by the owner in 2011. Now, to replace this boat is above $ 200,000.)
