Description
The Contest 41 is a no compromise, blue water cruising yacht. designed by Dick Zaal, built in 1985 by the renowned Contest yard in Holland Her construction is of equivalent quality to Nautor Swans or Halberg Rasseys. With her sea kindly lines, center cockpit and ketch rig she has been designed to look after her crew in all conditions. Beautifully finished throughout her interior is laid out for long term cruising. With a modified fin keel and skeg hung rudder, solid windshield, she is a very capable offshore cruiser. This is a very spacious yacht with a large saloon, good sea going galley and large aft cabin.

This is a two-owner boat with the current owner purchasing it in 1994. It is in need of some current upgrades but is of excellent quality and well taken care of. Last hauled and painted in 2018.

Sleeps 6 in two staterooms and salon. There is a private V-berth cabin forward with ensuite head as well as drawers and hanging locker. The main cabin has a "L"-shaped settee to port with straight settee opposite. There are storage compartments outboard and behind as well as a fixed dining table, the folding leaves, on centerline. Next aft is the "U"-shaped galley with ample storage, stove, deep galley sinks and refrigeration unit. Opposite to port is a forward-facing nav station with built-in nav instruments and the master electrical panel. Behind the nav station is the corridor to the aft owner's cabin which features a full width berth, ample storage in drawers and cabinets and another ensuite head.

The Alamitos Bay Marina opened in the late 1950’s and features 1,624 slips for recreational boaters. It’s located on the east side of Long Beach, at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Second Street, near Belmont Shore and Naples Island.
