Introduction and Description
Exceptional Performance Trimaran – Designed by John Shuttleworth
Originally built with a magnificent central hull and strip-planked floats by a Swan-Nautor subcontractor in Finland, this vessel was transformed by her English owner into a powerful, reliable, and fast trimaran. John Shuttleworth designed the carbon arms that give her both strength and performance.
The full reconstruction was carried out between 2005 and 2009 at Paul Wells’ Pro Composites yard. Key features include:
- Lifting carbon rudder in articulated box
- New carbon/foam centreboard
- New mast (2013)
After a pause between 2013 and 2016, the boat was acquired by her French owner, who undertook a comprehensive refit to the highest standards. Upgrades included:
- Electronics, rigging, sails, and comfort systems
- Complete interior and exterior paintwork
- New engine and equipment throughout
The result is a solid, well-crafted trimaran that has already proven herself on a successful tour of Spain and throughout the Mediterranean.
Performance & Comfort
- Capable of exhilarating speeds: during the 2023 Transat, she recorded multiple days over 300nm and bursts above 24 knots.
- Comfortable saloon seating for four, with a spacious galley for a trimaran of her class.
- Carbon arms provide outstanding rigidity and security.
- Note: access to the cabins requires bending to pass through continuous structures.
Versatility
- Perfect for a sporty family seeking a magnificent platform for summer cruising or an extended sabbatical.
- Equally exciting for a racing crew eager to exploit her full potential.
With her proven pedigree, high-quality upgrades, and thrilling performance, this trimaran represents a rare opportunity. The current owner is relocating and cannot keep the boat—so she must go.

Having started in the aircraft industry as an apprentice engineer in the mid seventies, the progression to sailboats was natural. Arriving in the Caribbean in 1981 for the first time, I was hooked on the beauty and the lifestyle. It took me more than 10 years back home to afford and rebuild my first yacht, which, after having sailed across from Africa in the early nineties, has been our permanent home. After chartering and being involved in almost all the aspects of the marine industry for over fourty years, we now have a family and don't do charters anymore.... we still have the boat though!
