Description
42' Bali 4.2
Embark on your next adventure with the Bali 4.2, a masterpiece of modern cruising that seamlessly blends luxury, practicality, and performance. Designed & built by the renowned Catana Group, this 42-foot cruising catamaran redefines open-space living, making it the perfect choice for couples, families, or charter enthusiasts seeking an unforgettable experience on the water.
- Spacious Open Layout: The Bali 4.2’s signature “open space” concept creates a fluid connection between indoor and outdoor living. The innovative tilting “garage door” fully opens the saloon to the aft cockpit, forming a vast, breezy social area. A forward door leads directly to the rigid front cockpit, a unique feature for a catamaran of this size, offering a safe and spacious lounge with sunbeds for soaking up the sun.
- Versatile Accommodations: Choose between a 3-cabin/3-bath owner’s version with a luxurious port-side suite, complete with a settee, desk, and separate shower, or a 4-cabin/4-bath layout ideal for charter or large groups. The “Jack & Jill” bathroom option maximizes space and comfort.
- Unmatched Comfort: Enjoy panoramic views from the bright saloon, featuring a well-equipped galley with ample storage, a double sink, and a large fridge/freezer. The flybridge, accessible via dual staircases, offers a helm designed for single-handed sailing, forward-facing lounge seating, and a sprawling sunbed for 360-degree vistas.
- Performance & Practicality: Built with lightweight, high-quality materials and Catana’s advanced construction techniques, the Bali 4.2 delivers reliable performance without sacrificing load capacity. With a 211-gallon fresh water tank, 211-gallon fuel capacity, and optional solar panels, it’s ready for extended bluewater cruising. The self-tacking jib and optional Code Zero ensure easy handling in varied conditions.
- Innovative Design: Replace the traditional trampoline with a solid foredeck for added safety and lounging space. The aft platform connects both hulls, providing a shaded bench, dive platform, and storage for gear like scuba equipment or a grill. Wide transom steps make swimming or tender access a breeze.
Construction
Born from the renowned Catana Group with over 30 years of boatbuilding expertise, Bali catamarans are constructed using advanced vacuum infusion techniques with high-quality composite materials. This process ensures maximum strength with minimal weight, resulting in a boat that is both sturdy and efficient under sail. The solid foredeck and rigid forward cockpit—hallmarks of the Bali design—are reinforced with high-density foam cores, delivering unmatched structural integrity and comfort at sea.
Unlike traditional catamarans with trampoline bows and separate cockpit/saloon areas, Bali’s monobloc construction allows for seamless, one-piece integration of living and sailing spaces. This approach improves stiffness, reduces flex and enhances overall comfort—whether you’re underway or on anchor.
- Hull built in one piece for greater stiffness
- GRP / PVC foam core sandwich polyester resin infused. (No balsa wood core material)
- Anti osmotic vinylester underwater hull protection
