SV MY WAY is an exceptional, custom-built motor-sailing yacht, blending classic schooner elegance with robust offshore capability and luxurious liveaboard comfort. Designed by acclaimed Peter Cole and constructed by SE Ward Shipbuilders in Western Australia, she was built over two and a half years to uncompromising standards, employing meticulous engineering and premium materials. Her single-skin marine-grade aluminium hull, inspired by America’s Cup technology, provides strength, performance, and peace of mind on long passages.
This yacht is designed to cross oceans confidently while offering the refinement of a private residence afloat. With her graceful clipper bow and sweeping sheer lines, MY WAY commands admiration in every harbour. Her adjustable centreboard allows a draft range from 6 to 10 feet, enabling access to shallow anchorages without compromising offshore performance.
Between 2019 and 2023, MY WAY underwent a comprehensive refit, refreshing her structurally, mechanically, and cosmetically while remaining faithful to her original design. Upgrades include new wiring, refrigeration, air-conditioning, a fully overhauled Caterpillar 3208 engine, an enhanced sail wardrobe, and modernised deck systems. Her 2000-litre fuel capacity and watermaker producing 1,500 litres per day ensure genuine self-sufficiency for extended voyages.
Below decks, MY WAY offers interiors that are both refined and practical. The expansive saloon and formal dining area feature hand-rubbed teak, American oak soles, and leather upholstery. A superbly equipped galley includes modern refrigeration, deep-freeze capacity for months of provisioning, a full suite of cooking appliances, and ample storage.
Accommodation combines luxury and versatility: a master suite aft with queen berth and private ensuite, two beautifully finished twin cabins, and a configurable Pullman berth for crew or guests. Each cabin is fully air-conditioned with high-quality joinery and thoughtful details throughout.
On deck and in the wheelhouse, sail handling is efficient and rewarding. The staysail schooner rig is balanced and manageable, with Harken furlers, electric winches, and an extensive sail inventory.
