Joe Guard grew up on the waters of Buzzards Bay and has been a long-time resident of Southeastern Massachusetts, and is now a resident of Jupiter, Florida. His deep-rooted passion for the ocean—and for all things boating and sailing—naturally led him into a career helping others get on the water with the right boat.
He attended North Carolina State University, and since 1994 he has owned and operated a successful, service-oriented business. Joe began brokering boats professionally in 2004, initially focusing on Regulator boats before expanding to represent a wide range of respected brands. Built almost entirely through word-of-mouth referrals, his reputation has been shaped by hands-on expertise, honest guidance, and a white-glove approach to customer service.
Today, Joe brings that same level of care and experience to Legacy Marine, connecting clients with premium brands and high-quality brokerage inventory. Joe is a member of the Beverly Yacht Club and co-founder of the Buzzards Bay Anglers Club. An avid boater, sailor, and angler, he spends as much time as possible on the water with his three children, splitting his time between Cape Cod and Jupiter, Florida.
