Broker's Comments
I’ve seen a lot of center consoles in this size range, and the Blackfin 272 CC consistently stands out because of the quality of construction and the reputation of the builder. Blackfin has been building serious offshore fishing boats since the 1970s, and this model continues that legacy with modern engineering, advanced composites, and the type of ride and finish you usually only find in more expensive brands.
This particular 272 CC is a great example of why Blackfin has earned such a loyal following. The hull is carbon-fiber reinforced, resin-infused, and incredibly solid underway. The ride is smooth, dry, and confident even when the conditions get rough. Everything on the boat—from the wiring and stainless hardware to the upholstery—feels substantial and built to last. Blackfin backs that quality with a lifetime structural hull warranty, which speaks volumes.
From a value standpoint, this boat makes a lot of sense. You’re getting premium fit and finish, modern electronics, and true offshore capability without stepping into the price range of the high-end luxury competitors. These boats also hold their value well because of their limited production, strong brand reputation, and high demand.
Whether you’re looking for a serious fishing platform or a comfortable family-friendly day boat, the 272 CC does both exceptionally well. Large fish boxes, livewell, rod holders, and tackle storage make it a capable fishing machine, while the forward lounge seating, fold-away aft bench, enclosed head, and hardtop create a comfortable environment for cruising and entertaining.
In short—if you appreciate solid construction, a respected name, and a boat that delivers both performance and value, this Blackfin 272 CC is worth serious consideration.

One of Alan’s greatest joy is sharing the yachting lifestyle—from introducing newcomers to their first boating experience to exchanging sea stories with seasoned sailors. With a lifetime spent on the water and a customer-focused approach honed through decades of entrepreneurial success, Alan brings deep experience and a personal touch to every client relationship.
Raised in Miami, Florida, Alan was cruising to the Bahamas before he could ride a bike. His early boating education came aboard an impressive fleet of family vessels, including a 42’ Irwin Ketch, 36’ Grand Banks, 42’ Hatteras LRC, 58’ Cheoy Lee, and his grandfather’s 76’ Huckins. By the time he was a teenager, Alan was teaching sailing and waterskiing during summer breaks—further strengthening his lifelong bond with the water.
Alan discovered Saint Petersburg while attending Eckerd College and quickly fell in love with its vibrant boating community. After graduation, he launched a successful chain of retail furniture stores in Phoenix, Arizona, guided by two core principles: offer the best products and deliver exceptional service. Even as his business grew, the ocean kept calling. Alan structured his company to operate remotely, often working from his boat in the Florida Keys or the Bahamas—long before “remote work” was common.
Throughout the years, Alan has owned and maintained a variety of vessels, including a Hewes Redfisher, 31’ Fountain, 35’ Contender, 26’ Intrepid, and a Bertram 510. His time in the Out Islands gave him hands-on experience with nearly every onboard system—from diesel engine maintenance and generator repair to line splicing and antenna installation. His children grew up exploring the Bahamas as naturally as their own backyard.
After nearly 30 years in retail, Alan returned full-time to his first love: boating. As a yacht broker, he combines his business acumen, technical know-how, and deep-rooted passion for the sea to help others find the right boat for their needs. Whether it’s your first vessel or your next adventure, Alan is committed to making your yachting experience smooth, enjoyable, and unforgettable.
