Description
This 1984 Sabre 34-1 is one of the finest freshwater examples of this respected performance cruiser available today. Located in Sodus Bay, NY, she has spent her entire life in the clean waters of the Great Lakes and has been stored indoors during the winters—preserving her hull, deck, and interior far better than comparable coastal boats.
The Sabre 34-1 is admired for its blend of speed, balance, and craftsmanship. With an LOA of 34'2", a beam of 10'6", and a displacement of approximately 11,400 lbs, the boat delivers a confident and stable ride while maintaining excellent light-air performance. A hull speed of about 6.9 knots makes her a quick and enjoyable cruiser, ideal for club racing or extended cruising.
Below deck, the interior shows beautifully with warm teak cabinetry and joinery in exceptional condition. The layout includes a spacious forward V-berth, a comfortable main salon with port and starboard settees, and a generous centerline folding table. The full galley is equipped with ample storage, a deep sink, and a two-burner stove. A private head with marine toilet and sink is located to port, with a large hanging locker opposite. A roomy quarter berth aft provides excellent sleeping accommodations or convenient storage.
Tankage includes approximately 38 gallons of freshwater and about 20 gallons of fuel, giving the boat solid cruising range and convenience for weekends aboard. The boat features a very nice full canvas package—recent bimini, dodger, and connector—providing protection and extended cockpit comfort. Newer instruments round out the helm area, offering clear, reliable navigation and sailing data.
Well maintained, lightly used, and beautifully kept, this Sabre 34-1 stands out as a truly exceptional example of the model. Ready to be enjoyed immediately, she is an ideal choice for any sailor seeking quality, comfort, and performance in a freshwater classic.
