Description
Dorisea is a well-maintained 1999 Chaparral Signature 29. These express cruisers are known for their aesthetic appeal, comfortable cabins, and excellent performance. Dorisea has unique Chaparral badging of “Angler 320” and has rod holders incorporated into the cockpit arch. There is a large swim platform that’s ideal for fishing and launching your paddleboards or kayaks. The cockpit area has a comfortable settee to port and a full canvas enclosure. A voluminous cabin below features a v-berth (sleeps two), a large dinette with wraparound seating, aft cabin, and a galley complete with a refrigerator, sink, stove, and microwave. The Signature 29 has a beam of 9 feet 9 inches, making this well-appointed cabin feel quite spacious. There is an enclosed head with a shower, and while connected to shore power, you will enjoy the comfort of the reverse cycle air conditioning.
Dorisea is powered by twin Mercury MerCruiser 4.3L V6 engines (190 HP each) coupled to Bravo sterndrives, and these engines both have less than 200 hours on them!! There is a dedicated 12V starter battery for each engine, one 12V house battery, and an onboard charger. At the helm station, a Lowrance combo unit serves as your fish finder, GPS and depth display. The Signature 29 features a modified-V hull design, providing a steady ride in rougher conditions and the stability needed for comfort on anchor or at the dock. Draft with the sterndrives lowered is only 33 inches, which is ideal for cruising on the Chesapeake. Call today to schedule your showing of this exceptional express cruiser!

Before he joined the yacht sales industry in his home state of Maryland, Grey worked for over twenty years as a professional pilot, flying both helicopters and airplanes. One of the experiences he enjoyed most was flying a news helicopter for multiple stations here in Washington DC. Daily flights over the Potomac River and the Chesapeake fueled his interest in sailing and the boating lifestyle that so many Marylanders and DC residents enjoy.
After attaining his MBA from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Grey spent a couple of years in the mortgage industry, an invaluable chapter in his career that shaped his approach to complex business transactions. When the opportunity to work in yacht sales presented itself, Grey knew this was his ideal career path. He has been a sailor for ten years and enjoys taking Flying Scots out on the Potomac, racing keelboats on the Chesapeake, and looks forward to cruising our local waters and beyond.
Whether you are a prospective buyer or seller, it is Grey’s mission as your trusted yacht advisor to learn about your goals and to conduct your vessel sale or search with steadfast attention to detail and effective communication.
