Description
2021 Tartan Fantail Weekender – Bluebird
Bluebird is a very lightly used 2021 Tartan Fantail Weekender that presents in near-new condition. Used exclusively in freshwater, always stored indoors, and carefully maintained, this boat reflects minimal wear and exceptional care throughout.
The Fantail Weekender is celebrated for her timeless design, easy handling, and refined simplicity, making her an ideal platform for relaxed day sailing and elegant harbor cruising. Bluebird is equipped with like-new sails, including a self-tacking jib for effortless short-handed sailing. Her Carbon Fiber mast and boom equate to excellent stabilty and performance. Auxiliary power is a Torqeedo 48-5000 electric saildrive, providing quiet, clean, and reliable propulsion.
The cockpit is spacious and inviting, designed for comfort and socializing, with excellent sightlines and an intuitive helm arrangement. Electronics include Raymarine wireless wind, speed, and depth instrumentation, along with a VHF radio and Tiller pilot.
Below decks, the cabin showcases Tartan’s signature craftsmanship with a warm, handcrafted feel. Interior amenities include a marine head with holding tank, freshwater system, and an electric cooler—making Bluebird well suited for extended days on the water and casual overnighting while maintaining the boat’s open, uncluttered character.
Turn-key and ready to sail, Bluebird represents a rare opportunity to acquire a late-model Tartan Fantail Weekender with electric propulsion, indoor storage history, and exceptionally light use—an outstanding choice for discerning sailors seeking classic style with modern, low-maintenance systems.

Born and raised on the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland, Chris is a lifelong boater with a particular passion for sailing. Chris’ childhood frequently involved working on boats with his dad and from a young age knew he wanted to make a career out of it. Chris spent the first 5 years of his career living in South Florida and working for Jetdock Systems as well as skippering boats throughout Florida and the Caribbean. Wanting to work more with boats, Chris moved on to a ten-year career at Tartan Yachts in Ohio. He began in construction and assembly, moved on to customer service management, and then managed Tartan Yachts re-fit program. These experiences have culminated in Chris’s sharp knowledge of vessel construction, systems, design, performance, rigging and troubleshooting of both power and sailing vessels.
In addition to joining the RCR team, Chris also started his own marine repair business in 2024.
Chris spends as much time as possible racing and cruising his Tartan 37 with his wife Taylor and their dogs. Chris serves as Vice Commodore and Sail Squadron race chair at Northeast Yacht Club in Cleveland, OH.
