Carter has been sailing the Gulf Coast for 20 years, including crossings from Mexico and Florida, to Texas. He has owned and operated sailboats from 18' to 48' including monohulls and catamarans. Carter has also spent time sailing in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, as well as the Adriatic Seas. Carter also spent 35 years as an engineer for spaceships and runs a rockabilly band called The Anchormen.
