One of the major advantages of a 44 DeFever is the walk-in engine room. BEDOUIN has a clean, bright engine room with standup access to all service points. Perkins engines have been maintained with regularly scheduled oil changes and fuel filters replacements. The transmission oil is changed on a regular basis and new transmission damper plates were installed.
ELECTRICAL:
- Both 12V DC and 120V AC, controlled via a panel with built-in circuit breakers, switches and meters in the main salon.
- The electrical system is key to monitoring battery charges and providing dependable power for starting the engines, providing DC power to run all 12V equipment on the vessel and using an inverter to provide 120V AC for appliances when not connected to shore power.
- 4 new 2025 Odyssey AGM batteries, 3 house, 1 engine start.
- One 4D AGM new Odessey backup bow thruster/windlass (2024).
- One group 31 AGM generator start battery, new 2025.
- Westerbeke 12.6 kw generator with separate starting battery.
- Xantrex Freedom Marine 2500 watt inverter/charger (with remote panel located in salon).
- Xantrex 3 Bank 40amp Multistage Battery Charger - (charges engine start and generator battery).
