Description
Perfect Great Loop Boat!!! Very shallow hull draft and low air draft, and efficient to operate. This pretty lady should definitely be considered by anyone aspiring to experience the Great Loop or cruise the Bahamas (or any other waters for that matter). She is a "must-see"!
"Starlight" is an absolutely stunning and rare custom-built yacht that was designed and built by the famous Huckins Yacht in Jacksonville, FL. Founded in 1928, Huckins is known throughout the industry of designing and building a very high quality product with exquisite (and certainly recognizable) classic lines, a patented Quadraconic hull design, and flawless joinery. She is all composite, extremely efficient, tracks perfectly straight in a sea, and draws only 2'6"- allowing her to cruise in waters that most yachts of her size do not have access to. Her hull design is so efficient that she can plane on only one engine, and cruises an easy 22 knots with a top end of 30 knots with her twin Cummins QSM11 670hp power package (3670 total hours) coupled with Hamilton 403 jet drives- which have recently been fully serviced. She is not only efficient, but she provides for an excellent ride in a sea. Originally built for a gentleman who designed custom aircraft interiors for a living, his influence in her interior layout and design are evident upon inspection. Her second owners, who are quite seasoned yacht owners, have done nothing but improve upon an already perfect work of art. A list of these improvements are available in the full listing below. Some of her more notable features include:
Joystick controls
Max Power hydraulic bow thruster
(2) Big Bay navigation computers (recently installed)
(3) touch-screen navigation monitors at helm (recently installed)
STARLINK system (recently installed)
Fixed-fin stabilizers
Stidd captain and companion seats at helm (recently installed)
(2) side doors at helm station
Northern Lights 20kw generator (2430 hours)
Hull re-painted with Alexseal 2-part polyurethane paint by Huckins in 2020
Carbon fiber passerelle
Rescue pod life raft
(6) Marine Air Reverse Cycle AC/heating units (3 on bridge deck, 1 in salon, 1 in master stateroom, 1 in guest stateroom)
Full-beam master stateroom with centerline queen berth and "Jack and Jill" head aft (head with sink and vanity to port, head with sink and vanity to starboard, with a roomy shower between the two heads), two large hanging lockers, washer/dryer, abundant drawer storage, two hampers, and natural lighting through portholes.
Centerline queen berth guest stateroom forward with ensuite head with stall shower, large hanging locker, drawer storage
Curved large galley part-way down with Granite countertops- fully equipped
Tremendous enclosed helm deck with opposing settees to port and starboard
Very roomy salon with plenty of seating and electric high-low table
Electric shades to port and starboard
Asko washer and dryer in master stateroom
And the list goes on and on! See the entire listing below for further details
Offered for sale by her second owners, she represents a great value in today's marketplace. Currently located in Marathon, FL with plans to cruise her back to Virginia this Spring.

An avid fisherman and accomplished captain, Mark has spent his entire working life in the marine industry. His deep passion for boating and fishing started during his childhood while spending summers on Harker’s Island, NC. Mark’s knowledge of the sea, his conservative upbringing, and his love of people are evident when interacting with his customers. Born in Winston-Salem, NC, Mark Connors got his start in the marine industry in 1993 while living in Annapolis, MD. After attending Hampden-Sydney in Virginia and Washington College in Maryland, he began his career in Annapolis working for the Annapolis Boat Shows, and was instrumental in the development of the successful Annapolis Powerboat School. Afterwards, Mark moved to Wilmington, NC where he formed Connors Marine Services, LLC. During this time, Mark offered a busy yacht delivery and maintenance service before becoming a broker for Baker Marine. In 2001, Baker Marine named Mark as the Manager of their newly opened office in Virginia Beach, VA. Mark was recruited by Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales in 2006 as Broker-in-Charge of the Virginia office once we acquired the dealership for both Hatteras Yacht and Grand Banks. A full-time broker since 1998, Mark has had experience with a wide variety of boat manufacturers including Hatteras, Grand Banks, CABO, Tiara, Bertram, Post, and Viking. A long-time member of the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club, Mark is as much at ease with his cruising customers as he is chasing billfish offshore. Mark, his wife Nelee, daughters Finley and Mary Archer, and dog Sonny live in the Larchmont section of Norfolk, VA. The family enjoys spending time together at sporting events, cultural shows, the beach, and of course, boating and fishing!
