Description
Axopar 38 XC Cross Cabin
This Axopar 38 XC Cross Cabin is shown as a well-equipped build, highlighting one of the many ways the platform can be configured. Designed around versatility and all-weather usability, the 38 XC combines the protection of a fully enclosed pilothouse with the performance and modular deck layout Axopar is known for.
Powered by twin white Mercury Verado V10 350 hp engines and equipped with the BRABUS Performance Line package, this configuration delivers strong performance, refined styling, and the confident handling that defines the Axopar 38 hull. The platform balances speed, efficiency, and seakeeping, making it well suited for both day boating and longer coastal runs.
Inside the pilothouse, the layout is designed to maximize connection between interior and exterior spaces. Gullwing doors open the forward cabin to the outdoors for ventilation and easy access to the side decks and bow, while the openable aft pilothouse window connects the cabin with the aft cockpit seating area. A separate head compartment and air conditioning add comfort for extended time aboard.
Forward, the U-Sofa seating area creates a comfortable social space on the bow that can be used for relaxing or entertaining guests. Aft, the boat is equipped with an aft cabin, adding a dedicated sleeping space and increasing the overall accommodation capability of the 38 XC.
The cockpit layout highlights Axopar’s modular design approach. This example specification includes activity platforms, a fenderbox wetbar, and a fenderbox bench seat, providing additional seating, storage, and functionality for time on the water. The activity platforms extend the usable deck space and make boarding, swimming, and watersports more convenient.
Electrical systems on this build include a lithium power bank and shore power, supporting onboard systems and enhancing the boat’s capability for extended use away from the dock.
The Axopar 38 platform has become one of the most versatile models in the adventure boat segment, offering a balance of speed, protection, and flexible layout options. With multiple cabin configurations, modular deck features, and a wide range of equipment choices, the 38 XC can be tailored to suit a variety of boating styles—from day trips and watersports to coastal cruising.

Ben attended St. Lawrence University and graduated with an economics degree. After spending his college years landlocked in upstate New York, Ben was eager to get back on the water. Since graduation, Ben has worked, lived, and raced on an assortment of boats. Ben delivered several boats to the Caribbean, where he later spent time working on boats of all shapes and sizes and racing as a bowman on Kialoa V, an 80’ maxi race boat. Prior to joining the ECYS team, Ben was one of three captains running a twelve-boat program. When he wasn't traveling to Europe as shore team manager on a RC44, Ben was running a J122 and a Grand Banks 49 Eastbay, serving as mate on a Lyman Morse 90’, and maintaining several center consoles. Given his background, Ben’s wide range of skills and unique experiences bring a different perspective to his customers.
