Wide side decks provide safe movement forward, while the large cockpit offers ample seating for guests and crew. The signature Hunter stainless steel arch traveler system keeps the mainsheet above the cockpit, creating an open and uncluttered seating area ideal for relaxing under sail or at anchor. The cockpit also features a folding table, wheel steering, and easy access to the walk-through transom with integrated swim platform and boarding ladder.
Entering the cabin through the companionway, you are welcomed into a bright and open interior with impressive 6’6” headroom, warm cherry interior, and a durable teak-and-holly cabin sole. The main salon is spacious and comfortable, featuring a large convertible dinette to port and additional seating to starboard, providing plenty of room for dining, entertaining, or relaxing while underway. Natural light fills the cabin through multiple opening ports and deck hatches, creating an inviting living space.
The navigation station located to port is a dedicated chart table, electrical panels, and space for navigation electronics and storage for charts and manuals. Just aft is the guest head, which features a marine toilet, vanity with sink, shower area, and additional storage.
Opposite the navigation station to starboard is the fully equipped galley, designed for practical use while cruising. The galley features a two-burner propane stove with oven, stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressure water, refrigerator, and ample cabinet storage for cookware and provisions.
Forward of the salon is the guest's stateroom, offering a comfortable V-berth with storage lockers, shelving, and hanging space.
Aft of the companionway to port is the master stateroom, which provides a generous double berth tucked beneath the cockpit. This cabin includes a hanging locker, opening ports for ventilation, and storage for cruising gear.
With its thoughtful layout, generous headroom, and comfortable accommodations for family and guests, the 2008 Hunter 38 cruising sailboat delivers a highly functional interior designed for extended coastal cruising or relaxing weekends on the water.
