Description
This 2008 open transom Colgate 26 is in very good condition. With positive flotation the Colgate 26 was designed to be unsinkable and chosen by USNA for training cadets and midshipmen. "Cats Pause" has been upgraded with a 2024 Tohatsu 6 hp and a remote tank with optional throttle extension and a new battery installed in 2024.
In 2022 a new mainsail was purchased and only used 3 or 4 times. Also purchased that year was a new VHF radio and new depth sounder and transducer, new external solar panel with bulkhead plug, new auxiliary power supply with bulkhead USB port, new switch panel, wiring cleaned up and rewired as needed, new cabin light, tiller extension, new stern light and installed cam cleats to reroute jib sheets for single handed sailing and shore power disconnected but all cables are in the boat.
New North Sails furling jib purchased 2025 (not yet used). The Harken jib furler we recently serviced with a new foil and drum operation.
Also included are a North Sails Spinnaker (not used by current owner), spinnaker pole, anchor & rode in bow locker, ice chest, Porta Potti (never used by current owner), V berth cushions (side cushions available from storage if desired), electric bilge pump, manual bilge pump, boat hook, fire extinguisher, life jackets, stereo (note - one speaker inoperative and needing replacement), 2 winch handles, docklines, compass, and wind indicator.
This Colgate 26 is currently stored in Orleans, Massachusetts.
