Description
The Beneteau Oceanis 38.1 "Fine Tuned" is a well-balanced, modern cruising yacht designed for comfortable family sailing as well as enjoyable performance under sail. The 38.1 has that sweet spot sizing too: big enough to be capable and comfortable, but not so large that it becomes unwieldy for a couple. It's a model that changed a lot of minds about what production cruisers could do.
With her contemporary lines, spacious cockpit, and bright, airy interior, she perfectly reflects Beneteau’s cruising philosophy. Her wide beam and hard chines carried aft create a lot of space inside, and the safe cockpit makes for relaxed sailing, whether you're sailing alone or with family. The deck is set up to be simple to handle in any conditions.
Fine Tuned’s layout features 2 cabins and 1 head with separate shower and the accommodations are modern and pleasant: plenty of light, good storage, and a layout that works well for longer passages and living aboard.

Performance and Rigging Enhancements
Not only does this Beneteau offer great comfort onboard, she can sail too! The 38.1 is recognized for balancing a powerful hull design with a solid sailplan that delivers genuine cruising performance. Fine Tuned distinguishes herself from the standard fleet through a series of practical cruising oriented modifications and upgrades.. Most notably, the original roller-furling mast was replaced with a traditional slab-reefing mainsail.
This vessel has been optimized for superior light-wind performance and offshore reliability. Beyond the traditional mainsail, the current owner has integrated a custom Ullman Asymmetrical Spinnaker complete with all necessary hardware and rigging. To support a more versatile sail plan, a double bow roller assembly was installed, allowing for additional headsails as conditions dictate.

Interior and Layout
The interior reflects the Nauta Design aesthetic, emphasizing open sightlines and natural light. This layout features the L-shaped galley, which maximizes the social space in the saloon, and two heads plus one head.
The forward owner’s cabin is accessed via double doors, creating a sense of volume that spans the entire beam. And the doors are removable if you wish to further open up the interior.
Professionally maintained and gently used with low engine, this Beneteau Oceanis 38.1 is a great opportunity to get on the water with a dependable, modern, and fun sailboat.
