Scott Murie has lived in the Destin/Fort Walton Beach, Florida area nearly all his life. His fishing/boating career began in the early days of the Destin Fishing Fleet with the legendary H.F. Chubby Destin. After 5 years on the deck aboard the “Shooting Star, he decided to further his career by becoming a captain myself. Scott bought his first charter fishing boat, Kay-Sea, at the age of 18 and ran charters all summer. During the winter, he was hired in Louisiana to run a crew boat to and from oil rigs.
After a few years, Scott was approached to run a sports fishing boat for a local family in Destin, Florida. In the years since, he has traveled extensively; through the Panama Canal (6 times), Venezuela, Bermuda, The British Virgin Islands, Dominican Republic, Turks & Caicos and just about all points in between.
Scott is married to my high school sweet heart and has two wonderful daughters. He raised my family with vacations where we spent our time together enjoying a lot of camping, fishing, and hunting.
Over the past 40+ years Scott has gained firsthand experience in what it takes to keep and operate a first-class vessel. He is proud to have an extensive knowledge of all diesel engines and all of the numerous systems yachts have. Scott was also the manager in charge of building a 61 Garlington sport fish which taught him everything to do with building a yacht from the ground up. I added custom designs to Garlington boats that they are still using today.
Throughout the years, Scott has helped many people buy and sell boats. He brings a lifetime of experience to the table and truly knows the difference between a good boat and a bad one. Scott helps his clients every step of the way and trusts in his experience and knowledge to provide his clients with the assurance they need whether buying or selling.
