Description
"Pier Pressure" is a meticulously maintained Jim Smith 65 Open that stands out as one of the finest examples of luxury and performance on the water. Her owners have spared no expense, investing $2 million into a comprehensive 2015-2016 refit — covering full top-end rebuilds on both MTUs, new transmissions, Garmin electronics, a Palm Beach Tuna Tower, and a mezzanine with A/C. Simply put, this Battle Wagon has been cared for the right way.
On the water, she delivers in a big way. Built on a Donald Blunt-designed bottom, "Pier Pressure" cruises comfortably at 35 knots burning around 120 gallons per hour, with a top speed of 44 knots when you're ready to open her up.
When it comes to extended offshore trips and tournaments, where comfort matters as much as performance. The well-appointed 3 stateroom / 3 head layout gives guests and crew plenty of space to relax and recharge — whether you're out for a single night or a longer stay aboard. "Pier Pressure" checks every box.

Bill grew up spending summers on the Outer Banks of North Carolina where the water wasn’t a backdrop, it was his whole world. Competitive fishing, diving and endless days on the water — he fell in love with the lifestyle early and never left it behind. That passion eventually took him way off the beaten path. He spent eight years in South America, five of them running Deep Water Hunters, a big game spearfishing lodge in Ecuador. It's the kind of experience that sharpens instincts and provides a front seat perspective on adventure. It also hammered home something he already believed — the best moments in life happen when you're completely in your element.
Back home, Bill spent 20 years running a financial services company in Wilmington, NC — building something from the ground up, working with people through big decisions, and learning how to really listen. That background turned out to be a pretty natural fit for what came next. Nine years into his career as a Yacht Broker, he's guided buyers and sellers through hundreds of deals — Carolina Custom SportFish boats, Vikings, Motor Yachts, Tenders, Center Consoles, you name it. The size of the deal doesn't change his approach: show up with real enthusiasm, pay attention, and bring everything you know to the table for every single client. Whether you're buying your first boat or hunting down a serious offshore battle wagon, you'll figure out pretty quickly that Bill isn't just a broker. He's someone who's lived this life, loves it deeply, and genuinely enjoys sharing his experience.
When he's not working with a client, he's probably right where you'd expect — out on the water, doing what he's always done.
