Owners Comments and Boat History
Oregon Native was originally commissioned in England by her first owner with the intention of world cruising. During her early years, she was professionally managed with a liveaboard skipper but saw relatively light private use. She later completed an Atlantic crossing to the Caribbean, after which she spent several seasons operating under professional charter management.
The current owner purchased the vessel in Florida in 2014. In 2017, she departed the British Virgin Islands as part of the Oyster World Rally, undertaking an extensive voyage through the Panama Canal to the Galápagos, French Polynesia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand. After cruising the South Pacific for approximately three years, she continued on to New Caledonia and Australia.
Following a pause during the COVID period, the vessel was returned to the Caribbean in 2023, where she remains today.
Oregon Native is described by her owner as a true sailor’s boat, with a deep keel and sail plan capable of confidently achieving 200-mile days. She allowed the current owner to fulfill a long-held dream of exploring the South Pacific and is now ready for her next owner to continue the journey.
