Riccardo was born in Milano, Italy and began boating during the Mediterranean summers in the late ’70s and early ’80s.
During those years, he was sailing his uncle’s boat in Santa Margherita Ligure and jumping waves with a Boston Whaler 150 Super Sport around the island of Capri powered by the endless energy of a teenager. These unforgettable memories around yachts and marinas in the seacoasts of Italy built a foundation for Riccardo to learn all about Italian quality of yacht manufacturing and design.
He moved to Miami in 1995, and since then had the privilege of owning many power boats and yachts of various sizes, models, and build construction giving him a first-hand understanding of the challenges of yacht selection, buying, ownership and eventually the selling process.
“The most expensive mistake is to buy the wrong boat for you” he cautions his customers.
During these last 30 years he has build direct relationships with manufacturers, marina owners, service vendors and fellow brokers making him well rounded and able to handle any boating related task at hand. Over the years he has captained many boats and yachts for friends and clients in South Florida and occasionally in the Bahamas. He continues to be a boat owner and a passionate yachtsman holding a 100 Tons USCG Master License.
Riccardo has toured many of the most prestigious manufacturer’s ship yards in Italy, Holland and the US establishing valuable direct personal and business relationship with shipyard owners and managers.
Proficient in English, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese, he had the privilege to represent clients in The United States and Latin America developing the cultural and technical knowledge required to complete the most complicated closings.
Riccardo is a bonded and licensed yacht and ship broker who began his yacht brokerage career with Denison Yachting in 2019 and in 2023 transitioned to One Water Yacht Group joining the Absolute Yachts and Sunseeker Yachts new boats sale team during the Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Palm Beach International Boat Shows.
He is now pleased to have joined United Yacht Sales.
