With a lifetime of experience, a wealth of knowledge and tremendous tournament success, Steve Castellini has the background and training necessary to help you purchase or sell your boat. From the age of five years old, his family has owned and operated a small fleet of fishing vessels, both small and large. Among them are a 62' Norseman, a 55' Hatteras, a 38' Evans, a 36' Jersey Devil and a 47' Buddy Davis (the Uncle T), to name just a few.
Steve obtained his captain's license in 1992, and since then, has developed a massive book for charters. He has fished the Uncle T all over, with home ports in Cape May, NJ; Ocean City, MD; Stuart, FL; Morehead City, NC; Isla Mujeres, MX and the Bahamas. The Uncle T is also known for discovering a new species of billfish. With well over 4,000 billfish releases, he has undoubtedly proven to know the demands of a fishing boat. He has also fished Morehead City, NC for the Giant Bluefin tuna season. In 2007, he landed a triple of header of Giants - one at 700+ lbs. and two in the 600 lbs. range.
With over 40 tournament wins, Steve's tournament career has had multiple first through third place finishes throughout the eastern seaboard. In 1992, Steve won the opening year of the Mid Atlantic $500,000 with an 82 pound white Marlin caught by his father James Castellini. Steve then came back to win it again with the heaviest white marlin in 2006. In August 2022, he claimed yet another first place win at the MidAtlantic $500,000 tournament with a 75 lb. White marlin.
His accolades include the Maryland State Longfin tuna record; the White Marlin Open first place tunas; OCMD tuna tournament; and the Pirate's Cove Sailfish tournament, to name just a few.
From 2012 through 2020, Steve captained a client's 62' Titan Custom yacht, with extraordinary success. The 62' Titan caught over one hundred billfish out of Cape May, NJ in 2012 and 2017 and won numerous tournaments. Steve is currently the captain of his client's 64' custom sport fish Kaarmaa, with home ports in Cape May, NJ and Stuart, FL. In 2021, they won the 52nd annual Beach Haven White Marlin Invitational by scoring 800 points - winning first place overall billfish points; second place billfish points on day two; first place white marlin releases; and first place crew Calcutta.
Steve has also delivered for many private owners. These boats include American Custom Yachts, Buddy Davis, Cabo, 102' Hatteras Motor Yacht/ 65' Hatteras, Egg Harbor, Jersey Cape, Monterey - the list goes on. Steve has also successfully built and rebuilt several boats.
Steve would love to share his knowledge and experience with others in the purchase of their next boat. He will take the time to learn about your needs and desires, and will work tirelessly to locate the ideal boat for you. If you are looking to sell, his contact list is endless. Steve believes that his relationships with his clients are invaluable, and he consistently remains in touch with them after the sale to offer fishing advice, assistance with maintenance, or to simply to discuss any questions or concerns they may have.
