2006 Oceanis 423 “Sojourner” — Proven Offshore Cruiser with Solar, Wind, Spares, RIB & Recent Upgrades
Sojourner is not just another Beneteau Oceanis 423. She is a proven offshore cruiser with a serious travel history, a versatile 3-cabin/3-head layout, and the kind of systems, spares, tools and upgrades that make her ready to continue cruising for years to come.
The Beneteau Oceanis 423 earned its reputation as a comfortable and capable cruising yacht with excellent interior volume, easy handling, and real passage making ability. Sojourner has already done what many cruising boats only dream about—she has completed a circumnavigation and continued to serve as a capable Caribbean cruiser for a family of four for over half a decade.
Originally placed into charter service through Sunsail Vacations, she later transitioned into private ownership and was outfitted and used for extended cruising, including the Caribbean, Canada, Grenada, Trinidad, and a completed circumnavigation by her prior owner. Since being purchased by her current owners in 2021, she has been used seasonally, only two months out of the year. The rest of the time she has been meticulously stored on the hard where she has received important updates to her rigging, bottom, engine systems, electronics, batteries, canvas, dinghy package, and cosmetics.
Sojourner recently returned to the United States and is available for showings in Fernandina Beach, Florida located in Northeast Florida just 30 minutes from the Jacksonville Airport (JAX).
Details:
“Sojourner" is a 3-stateroom model with a master stateroom forward that has a centerline island berth, 7'7" in length, with separate reading lights. The forward stateroom also features an in-suite head and shower. Plenty of storage is available in cabinets and hanging lockers. There are also two large storage drawers under the berth. The saloon, to stbd. features a full-size convertible dining table. Above the saloon is a three-panel skylight with separate shades to allow in just the right amount of light. The saloon also features storage under the seating with shelves and raised cabinets along the port and starboard hull sides.
Below deck, the bright saloon offers a welcoming interior with a practical galley and ample seating. The owner’s layout features a large forward master cabin with ensuite, complemented by a comfortable aft guest cabin and second head, providing excellent privacy for visiting family or friends.
The navigation station is aft of the dining area and is well lit with seat storage. To port. is the galley with stainless-steel sink, separate freezer and refrigerator, 2 burner propane stove and oven with lots of storage above and below the counter tops.
Aft of the galley is the second head with entrances from the saloon or privately from the portside aft cabin with an opening port and small hatch above for ventilation. This head is the perfect size, for a day head, with mirrored cabinets and a handheld shower. The port aft cabin has an oversized double berth, 6'8" in length, with storage, hanging lockers and a small settee. Plenty of room for two people with ample light and ventilation. The third cabin is to starboard and is a mirror image of the port aft stateroom.
Extensively upgraded and carefully maintained, she benefits from new standing rigging (2021), a new genoa sun cover (2025), updated Raymarine Axiom+ navigation electronics, and a comprehensive solar system with Victron monitoring. With her reliable Yanmar 54hp engine and refurbished water maker, “Sojourner” is a capable cruising yacht that is well equipped and ready for years of additional cruising.

I’m driven by more than the specs of a hull or the price tag of a listing. It’s the lifestyle, the freedom, the salt in the air, and the smile on a new owner’s face when they feel they’ve found the right vessel for their dreams. Whether you’re buying or selling, I bring my communications expertise and lifelong passion for boating together to help you navigate the process with confidence.
I grew up far from the ocean but began boating, water skiing, and fishing at a young age in the diverse waters of the Missouri Ozarks. While still in the Midwest, I became a “lake sailor.” This passion for sailing eventually led to moving my family of four aboard a sailing yacht near Amelia Island, Florida, and earning my USCG Captain’s License.
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll likely find me teaching ASA sailing courses, paddle boarding, playing tennis, or exploring America’s national parks.
