Description
Island Packet 29 — Excellent Condition | Ready to Sail
The Island Packet 29 has a well earned reputation for exceptional build quality and interiors that punch well above their size. Built with a hand laid fiberglass hull, full keel, and Island Packet's proprietary PolyClad bottom gelcoat system and PolyCore deck laminate, these boats are built to last and hold up beautifully over time.
This example shows with pride. The gelcoat and brightwork are in excellent condition and the teak interior is stunning, with teak and holly cabin sole, teak bulkheads, cabinetry and trim throughout, all with a hand rubbed oiled finish and louvered locker doors.
Step aboard and you are greeted by wide unobstructed side decks, continuous cabin top handrails, and a recessed foredeck with protective bulwarks. The cockpit is comfortable and well organized, with recesses and bins in the coamings for winch handles and sail control lines, and new cushions added in 2025. Below decks, 6'4" of standing headroom makes her feel far larger than her 29 feet suggest. She sleeps 7 total: a double V berth in the forward cabin, a double quarter berth aft, and the port settee with slide out extension in the saloon accommodates up to two more. The forward cabin also features cedar lined drawers and a hanging locker. The head is just aft with an enclosed shower, stainless steel sink, and hot and cold pressure water. The saloon offers a fold out table and the U shaped galley sits at the base of the companionway with pressurized hot and cold water and a Force 10 two burner LPG stove and oven. The dedicated nav station features a large hinged chart table and full electronics cabinet.
She is powered by a reliable Yanmar 2GM20F diesel inboard and features marine air conditioning, solar panel, Kato stainless steel dinghy davits, stainless steel outboard crane, and a full custom winter cover. Recent upgrades include Raymarine i60 wind, depth, and speed instruments (2021), Garmin GPSMAP 742XS chartplotter (2019), standing rigging and lifelines by Bay Area Rigging (2021), Dutchman Flaking System for effortless mainsail handling (2022), all sanitation hoses replaced (2023), new cockpit cushions (2025), West Marine Group 27 AGM dual purpose marine batteries X 3 (2026), and Custom Nor'easter boat cover by North Shore Canvas (2019).
She carries a full cutter rig with roller furling on both the jib and staysail, a genneker with whisker pole, and Lewmar self tailing winches throughout.
