Matt Weimer is a seasoned marine professional with over 30 years of experience spanning nearly every corner of the boating industry—from delivery captain and private yacht skipper to sailing instructor, commercial marine sales, and deck utility on tugboats. Since 2019, he has been a full-time yacht broker, combining hands-on expertise with deep market knowledge to help clients confidently buy and sell both power and sail vessels.
A native of Annapolis, Matt grew up sailing the Chesapeake Bay and earned his degree in Business Communications from the College of Charleston in 1996, where he also sailed competitively. His boating resume includes offshore miles across the U.S., Caribbean, and Europe, and he continues to stay closely connected to the water and the lifestyle that surrounds it.
Matt holds a U.S. Coast Guard 100-Ton Master’s License and is a Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB). In 2018, he was honored with the Eastport Yacht Club Foundation’s Outstanding Marine Wizard Award for his service and contributions to the maritime community.
What sets Matt apart is his commitment to customer satisfaction and lasting relationships. He is known for being responsive 24/7 and is most proud of the referrals he receives from satisfied clients—testament to the trust he builds with every transaction.
Outside of work, Matt is an avid scuba diver, snow skier, and adventure motorcyclist. He lives in Crownsville, Maryland with his wife Denise, their two daughters, and their dog, Indy. The family are active members of the Indian Landing Boat Club on the Severn River, where they keep their 36' sailboat. Matt also serves as a team manager for the club’s summer swim team, where both of his daughters compete.
