Description
Designed by the renowned Nelson/Marek team, this 1983 Morgan 45/4 delivers an impressive combination of sailing performance, cruising comfort, and timeless styling. Located in Sodus Point, NY, this vessel has spent her life in fresh water and has benefited from knowledgeable ownership and continual maintenance updates that make her stand out from the crowd.
Her striking appearance begins with a beautifully painted Celeste sea foam hull accented by a classic red boot stripe, giving this Morgan a distinctive look that turns heads at the dock and underway alike. The sleek lines and balanced proportions of the Nelson/Marek design offer both capable sailing characteristics and spacious accommodations for extended cruising.
Powered by a dependable Universal 5432 diesel engine with only 926 hours, this Morgan 45/4 offers confidence and reliability under power. On deck, she is equipped for comfortable cruising with a Quick electric windlass, autopilot, and updated sail inventory including a new mainsail and a 150% genoa that is only two years old.
The current owners have addressed several important maintenance items over time, including rebedding the chainplates and hatches, as well as tabbing the bulkheads into the hull. An insurance survey is available and will be shared with qualified buyers.
Below deck, the spacious interior provides the comfort expected from a quality cruising yacht of this size. One of the standout features of the Morgan 45/4 is the enormous aft cabin featuring a queen-sized berth, exceptional storage, and excellent privacy for owners or guests. Additional amenities include air conditioning, hot water heater, television, and a CNG stove for convenient onboard cooking. A separate enclosed shower room adds comfort and practicality for extended stays aboard or liveaboard use.
Whether your plans include Great Lakes cruising, coastal passages, or extended adventures, this Morgan 45/4 offers an appealing combination of proven design, thoughtful upgrades, and classic sailing character. Opportunities to purchase a freshwater example with this level of care and documentation are increasingly rare.
