Udo Willersinn grew up in the boat business. His parents founded Nautic Willersinn, a full-service dealership in Altrip, Germany — he sold his first boat at 14. At 20, he left for the United States to work on the Four Winns factory floor in Texas and Michigan, learning the manufacturing process from fiberglass up. He returned to Germany at 21 as Sales Manager and built the family dealership into the fourth-largest U.S. boat importer in Europe.
He moved permanently to the United States in 2001, became a U.S. citizen in 2015, and co-founded YachtSalesInternational.com in 2014. Over the past decade, YSI has grown into one of the leading hybrid and electric yacht brokerages in North America — a direction Udo has driven deliberately, building relationships with Greenline, Ingenity Electric, and other manufacturers at the forefront of sustainable propulsion.
Udo is personally involved in every YSI listing. He brings technical knowledge most brokers don't have — from hull construction and systems to the mechanics of hybrid propulsion — and a transaction track record built over 30+ years in the industry. He is an active IYBA member and holds multiple professional certifications.
