Description
Few 33-footers earn an offshore Category A certification, but the Dufour 350 Grand Large isn't a typical 33-footer. Designed by Felci Yachts for Dufour's celebrated Grand Large range, she delivers big-boat capability, comfort, and build quality in a package a couple can sail short-handed with complete confidence.
Her 9/10ths fractional rig, self-tacking jib, and swept spreaders keep the side decks clear and the tacks effortless. With 592 square feet of upwind sail area and a vacuum-infused foam core sandwich hull with solid glass below the waterline, she is both quick and well-built. Twin helm wheels, an L-shaped cast iron keel with bulb, and a closing aft cockpit round out a deck layout designed for real passage-making.
Below, the open salon flows to the bow with generous light and a proper master V-berth forward. The L-shaped Corian galley is fully equipped for extended time aboard, and the aft cabin handles guests comfortably. The signature Dufour wine rack, naturally, is right where it belongs.
The 2017 model year is the last and most refined of the 350 GL production run — the best of the line, ready to sail.

Full Details
Hull and Construction
Field Trip is built on a GRP monohull constructed using a vacuum-infused polyester and foam core sandwich process — a modern technique that precisely controls fiber and resin placement, producing a lighter, stronger finished structure than traditional hand layup. The hull below the waterline is solid fiberglass laminate for maximum impact resistance, while the deck utilizes the same foam sandwich construction for stiffness and weight reduction.
The hull-to-deck joint is formed with an inward flange providing a solid integral bulwark. An internal grid distributes loads from the rig throughout the hull.
The L-shaped cast iron keel with hydrodynamic bulb delivers powerful righting moment and excellent upwind performance. A single spade rudder provides precise and responsive steering.
The mast is deck-stepped aluminum with two swept-back spreader levels and 1x19 strand wire continuous standing rigging.
Rig
Field Trip carries a 9/10 fractional Marconi sloop rig on a deck-stepped aluminum mast with two swept-back spreader levels and 1x19 strand wire continuous standing rigging. The fractional configuration allows mast bend for mainsail shape tuning across a wide wind range — a hallmark of performance-oriented cruising design.
The standard running rigging plan comprises main halyard, two reef lines, mainsheet, self-tacking jib sheet, furling line, and genoa halyard.
The self-tacking jib is one of Field Trip's most practical features — tacking requires no headsail sheet handling, making short-tacking, marina approaches, and single-handed sailing significantly simpler.
Accommodations
Field Trip is configured in the two-cabin layout, delivering maximum space and privacy for an owner-operator couple. The full-length V-berth forward serves as the owner's master cabin with generous stowage on both sides.
A private double cabin aft provides comfortable guest or crew accommodation.
A single head with shower serves the two-cabin layout, positioned centrally for easy access from both cabins.
The interior flows openly from the companionway forward to the bow, maximizing the sense of space. The saloon features a full chart table, saloon and chart table reading lights, and the Dufour signature wine rack built into the companionway sole — a small but distinctive touch.
Interior lighting is LED throughout with individual cabin reading lights and separate saloon lighting circuits. Cabin sole is finished with non-slip tread on glazed areas and non-skid coatings on working deck surfaces.
The galley is positioned immediately below the companionway, keeping the cook in easy communication with the cockpit. It is equipped with a gas stove and oven fed via a dedicated vented gas locker, a refrigeration unit on its own 10A circuit, single-lever mixer tap, and full galley sink.
The gas system incorporates a CE shut-off valve, 30 mbar CE regulator, and copper supply piping throughout.
