The 255 DC was a particularly versatile layout. It has a forward lounge seating six, convertible bow table/sunpad, enclosed port-side head/changing compartment, large helm designed for a 12" display, hardtop, windlass, 30-gallon livewell, 200-quart insulated fishbox/cooler, fold-down aft seating, raw-water washdown, freshwater transom shower and integrated swim platform/ladder.
For fishing, World Cat included four gunwale-mounted stainless rod-holder/cup-holder combinations, rocket launchers on the hardtop, substantial bow and cockpit storage and the livewell. For family cruising, the big advantage is the dual-console layout, protected windshield, enclosed head and unusually generous seating for a 26-footer.
Electronics & Options
World Cat offered a factory Garmin package consisting of a Garmin GPSMAP 8612xsv 12" display, Airmar B150M transducer and Garmin 315 VHF, along with an upgraded JL Audio system. Other available options included GEMLUX outriggers, forward bow shade, colored hardtop undersides and several hull-color combinations.
