2013 Dufour 380 Grand Large — “Detachment Point”
An exceptional example of one of Dufour's most desirable performance cruisers — maintained to a standard that immediately separates her from the typical 2013 offering.
There are boats that have simply been maintained, and then there are boats whose condition tells you, almost immediately, how they have been cared for. Detachment Point is very much the latter.
This two-owner 2013 Dufour 380 Grand Large presents in truly remarkable condition. Her exceptionally clean appearance, thoughtful ownership and significant freshwater history have combined to preserve this yacht to a degree rarely encountered in a boat of her age. She needs to be seen in person to fully appreciate just how well she presents.
Designed to deliver the balance for which Dufour has become so highly regarded, the 380 Grand Large combines genuine sailing performance with an unusually comfortable and inviting cruising interior. At just under 37 feet LOA with a generous 12'7" beam, she provides the volume and accommodations of a serious cruising yacht without sacrificing the responsive sailing characteristics that make a Dufour enjoyable to own and sail. The intake sheet specifies a 36.71' LOA, 12.63' beam and 6.23' draft.
Above deck, her cockpit is designed equally well for sailing and entertaining, while the drop-down transom transforms the stern at anchor and provides convenient access to the water. A barbecue mounts directly to a post at the transom. Her deck equipment includes a forward anchor with chain rode and windlass, along with Wm. J. Mills bimini, dodger and sail cover.
Below, the Grand Large design really distinguishes itself. The interior is bright, warm and remarkably spacious for a yacht of this size, with accommodations for six. The forward V-berth incorporates cabinetry and generous storage, while the main salon features a port-side dinette with center table and sliding bench seating. The starboard galley includes a two-burner LPG stove and oven, double-basin sink with hot and cold running water plus a foot pump, and a deep refrigerated icebox.
Auxiliary power is provided by a 2013 Volvo Penta D1-30F diesel, rated at 28.4 HP and showing approximately 860 hours. Electronics have also received meaningful recent attention, including a Raymarine Axiom+ 7-inch chartplotter installed in 2025 and autopilot installed in 2022.
But specifications alone don't tell the story of Detachment Point.
Her condition does.
For the buyer who has been searching for a Dufour 380 Grand Large but doesn't want a boat that looks and feels thirteen years old, this is one that deserves serious attention. Her combination of condition, ownership history, equipment and freshwater use makes her an especially compelling opportunity.
Detachment Point is the kind of yacht that can make a buyer's search considerably shorter once they step aboard.
I would not publish the listing quite yet, though. There are several important blanks on the intake sheet—particularly sails/rigging, heating/AC, headroom, holding-tank capacity, and more detail on the electrical systems. I also want to nail down the freshwater statement because you originally wrote “2019 to 2019.”
If you give me the correct freshwater years and, ideally, upload your photos, I can turn this into the complete YachtR listing, with separate sections for Overview, Accommodations, Galley, Electronics & Navigation, Engine/Mechanical, Sails & Rigging, Deck & Cockpit, and Broker's Remarks. For a boat this clean, I would make the Broker's Remarks particularly strong.
We need to list her. The boat was in fresh water since birth 2013 thru 2019.
