Brendan Roney is the Founder and Managing Partner of BR Marine Group, a South Florida-based yacht brokerage and advisory firm serving yacht owners, buyers, and charter clients throughout the United States and internationally. A former superyacht captain with more than 28 years in the yachting industry, Brendan brings an operational perspective to yacht brokerage that extends well beyond the transaction itself.
Before becoming a yacht broker, Brendan spent more than a decade at the helm of sailing and motor yachts. That experience gave him firsthand knowledge of yacht operations, maintenance and refits, crew, shipyards, cruising programs, and the many details that ultimately shape an owner's experience on the water.
Today, Brendan advises clients across yacht sales and acquisitions, charter, new-build projects, yacht management, and valuations. His approach begins with understanding how an owner intends to use and enjoy their yacht. His operational background allows him to evaluate a vessel from a practical perspective, while his brokerage experience helps clients navigate market value, negotiations, surveys and sea trials, contracts, closing, and the broader considerations surrounding yacht ownership.
